Google Adwords Management

PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising such as Google Adwords gives you absolute financial control over your paid search engine marketing. How it works and how much it will cost is covered below, but first we'll talk you through some of your advertising options:

Google Adwords

Google have their own PPC solution that sites along side the search results natural listings. Called Adwords, this network not only works as part of search but also extensiveley through Googles Adsense network which results in your advert being optionally shown on relates pages within 3rd party websites such as blogs and affiliate marketing sites.

How Adwords (And other PPC solutions ) works and how much does it cost?

The fees associated with PPC marketing are broken down across two flexible factors, each determining either the frequency or heirarchy of your advert.

Daily Rate

The daily rate is the maximum amount you wish to spend on a daily basis. It also determines how often your advert is shown i.e.

if Google determines that to be shown 100% of the time you need to spend £1000 per day yet your budget is only £200 per day then your advert will be shown approximateley 20% of the time that anyone searches for one of your PPC keywordsthroughout the day, £200 being 20% of £1000.

To complicate the matter further, recently Google Adwords has given advertisors the ability to set a timeframe within the day i which to show your advert i.e. between the hours of 8am and 11pm, monday to friday. Also to show the proportionate showing of your advert bunched together instead of being spread out across the day. All of which requires testing to determin the best times to show your advert based on your daily rate.

CPC (Cost Per Click)

The CPC is the maximu price you're prepared to pay for a click on your advert. It is also proportionate to your position within the advert column. i.e.

You're paying £4 per click and in position #2 whereas someone else is paying £4.01 per click and is in position #1
